Vocal Teacher
Sun Pyo Juhn is regarded by the Korean Musical as one of its leading voice teachers, with over 300 soloists under his tutelage, and has gained the consistent trust and mutual respect of the musical and vocal community at large.
Known for his technical prowess and musicality as a leading classical Tenor for 10 years at the opera field, He sung frequently under today’s leading conductors. Mr. Juhn’s performances at the aforementioned venues have been as the lead tenor, soloist, and other roles with some of the most respected opera companies and orchestras in the world. Mr. Juhn has performed the 30 leading roles in many of operas included in the Nemorino in L’elisir D’amore, the Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas, the Duke in Rigoletto, the Edgardo in Lucia Di Lammermoor, etc.
His vocal approach derives from a long line of voice teachers, such as Italian Bel canto, dating back to the early 20th century. Nevertheless, he has his own positive and detailed approach, working with each singer in a style unique to the individual. He has also been a director of frequent program participant as Otorhinolaryngology speech therapist training and Otorhinolaryngology hospital vocal treatment.
Mr. Sun Pyo Juhn completed to graduate from the Italian Parma National Academy of Music and Bachelor’s degree from Yonsei University. He has served as a director of the Department of Musical at Gukje Arts University, a Professor of Practical Music at Gukje Arts University and also a Director of Musical Academy at International Arts University. He is currently a Artistic Director of JK Vocal Academy in Seoul, Korea.
